Aileen Dance Workshop in 2023 Summer
[ Aug 2, 2023 ] Hockessin DE
This summer, I want to do something different, to do something to make our community better and to make more and more people happy. I decided to launch a dance workshop. I talked to my parents and friends, and they all supported me! I started designing the publicity posters and asked parents and friends to let their neighbors know.
The first class was coming, only three students, alright! I taught them how to warm up before the ballet class, so we started some exercises on the yoga mat; it was enjoyable. After that, we began to do ballet bar basic positions, which are challenging for beginners. I told the girl to enjoy the ballet music and imagine your body stretching naturally. "Good job!" I praise them as they make little progress. Step by step, one position by one position. Unconsciously, two hours had passed.

On the second day, five students were here; yeah! We followed the same progress as yesterday and reviewed ballet positions. And I have a new idea: to choreograph a dance for them. "Wow, that's amazing!" girls laughing. We were dancing, learning, and learning till the sky went dark.
On the last day, we asked all parents to come to the dance room after we practiced several times. When the music started, we started to dance. Some students were stressed because of the tension, and some people laughed shyly to forget, but everyone tried to work together. When the show ended, the parents applauded—well Done!
A few days later, I had a second dance workshop in Hockessin and Wilmington, Delaware; this time, with more people attending, I didn't have enough ballet bars, so I used a chair instead; although the environment was simple, the enthusiasm for dancing was not affected. By the end of the summer vacation, I held two events in six days, 120 minutes each time, and 35 personal-time participated, which won unanimous praise from students and parents.
